Amenities

We want your stay with us to be as special and easy as possible. River's Edge Campground has carefully crafted a list of services and amenities with just that in mind. Take a look at what we have to offer below.

Shower Facilities

With our shower facilities, guests enjoy the highest level of comfort and privacy. Each shower room includes its own vanity and toilet.

We will also have more "traditional" bathrooms with toilet stalls and sinks.

Fire Pits & Picnic Tables

Every site at River's Edge Campground comes equipped with your very own wooden picnic table and fire ring.

We also have picnic tables throughout the campground for your use.

River/Creek Access

River's Edge Campground has access to almost 2 miles of the North Fork Shenandoah River and Capon Run streambed. Great for fishing, wading, or a nice relaxing evening by the water.

With the Blue Hole Day Use Area less than a mile away, fishing opportunities are limitless. Brown trout, rainbow trout, small mouth bass, and others swim these waters.

Stocked Ponds

River's Edge has a 2 acre pond that is stocked with a variety of species of fish. Fishing in the stocked ponds is for campers only.

Fishing hours are from sunrise to sunset.

Catch & Release Fishing

  • Must be done with barbless hooks

  • All fish are catch and release

  • One (1) rod per person

  • You must stay with your fishing rod at all times while fishing

Since this is a private pond, no license is required. Fishing in the Shenandoah River requires a valid Virginia fishing license. More information can be found here:
